WebCD Packager

• The Packager "crawls" through Web content, building a graphical inventory. Multimedia and other high-bandwidth content not on the Web are integrated through the drag & drop interface.

• Pages are retrieved from the server using HTTP. Server side image maps, redirected URLs, CGI output, and virtual paths are automatically processed.

• Pages are partitioned between CD and Internet. Bookmarks are created to highlight "must see" pages. Live-links are added to conduct commerce and retrieve updates.

• A complete, self-contained CD-ROM image is produced. Install script, Web browser and popular players are bundled. Text is fully indexed to enable rapid end user searching.
